OuR petition was Submitted to Council at 1,450 Signatures On JUly 17th.
Signature collection will continue until the Interim Control By-Law vote on JUly 29th.
Additional signatures will Still be submitted, Although We cannot guarantee their consideration by City council.
This petition was created in accordance with Mississauga's Petition Guidelines and is limited to residents within Mississauga, the GTA, and surrounding areas.

Thank you to all who attended the 07/29 Committee Meeting to support the data centre moratorium.
Councillors Tedjo, Damerla, Reid, and McFadden are pursuing a 1-year pause on approvals for AI data centres in Mississauga while they reassess the requirements for development applications. They have decided to "wait and learn" and will oppose Prologis' Application until a clearer application framework is in place.
However, the moratorium vote does not guarantee a "freeze" on new data centre developments.
The moratorium establishes guidelines for research and regulations only.

We must still secure a majority vote on the interim control by-law on September 16th within the City Council to ensure new data centre applications are paused while research and regulations are developed.
